RPEQ design certification and Form 15 / Form 12 explained

In Queensland, professional engineering services must be carried out or directly supervised by a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). Certifiers rely on two forms from the engineer.

Form 15 — design certificate

Issued with the engineering drawings to confirm the design complies with the building code and standards. The certifier needs it before approval.

Form 12 — aspect inspection certificate

Issued after the engineer inspects a stage of construction — for example footings, retaining walls or structural framing — and confirms it was built to the design.

Why RPEQ matters

Only an RPEQ in the relevant area can sign these certificates. GeoStructCiv's engineers are RPEQ registered in Civil, Geotechnical and Structural, and can certify anywhere in Queensland.
