Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Who we are

GeoStructCiv (ABN 21 703 006 517) is a consulting engineering business in Queensland. This policy explains, in plain English, how we handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you use our quote or contact forms, we may collect:

  • your name, email address and phone number
  • the project or site address, or suburb
  • project details you tell us
  • drawings, plans and photos you upload

We also collect basic, non-identifying website usage data (for example, pages visited and device type).

Why we collect it

  • to respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes
  • to carry out engagements you ask us to do
  • to keep project and engineering records
  • to meet legal and professional obligations, including RPEQ / BPEQ record-keeping

Where it is stored

Your information is kept in secure cloud services used by our business, such as website hosting, email and cloud file storage. These services may store data in Australia or overseas. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it with people needed to deliver your work — for example certifiers, builders, councils or subconsultants — or where required by law.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 2 years.
  • Project records: for as long as required for professional engineering and legal record-keeping (typically at least 7 years), then securely deleted.

Access, correction and deletion

To see, correct or delete your information, email info@geostructciv.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. Some project records may need to be kept for legal or professional reasons.
